Yeah November 11, 2031

Google will launch Android 12 OS in August 2021. Still HMD will release this phone in November 2021 with Android 11 pre-installed and with the label on the box in bold “Android 12 Ready”. HMD will deliver the Android 12 operating system update to this phone in the third quarter (July) 2022. Typical HMD Global.

Huawei phones are sold out in China and it looks like there won’t be a solution to their restriction issues, so another brand using Harmony OS would give Chinese consumers the ability to access the system and from reviews and comment forums, at least It seems that many Chinese consumers are keen to try out Harmony OS. Nokia’s current android, almost in stock, isn’t very practical for China where not all of Google’s perks are available and Nokia likely doesn’t have the resources to develop and maintain things like a payment wallet. Nokia which is needed for using public transport in China and for access cards to offices, cars and local communities etc. I have the same issue with my Moto Edge S which is almost using standard Android in China. It has nfc but nfc is almost useless without Moto Wallet because I can’t use it to swipe on public transport or for keys to access my office. I ended up having to buy an honor band just for the nfc functionality and wallet access.
With Harmony OS, they would have access to those additional features that many Chinese consumers are looking for. Of course, if they release it in non-Chinese markets as well, Harmony OS would be a downside, but they could use original Android in other markets instead. Anyway what I mean is if they release it with an Android that is almost in stock in China, it won’t work well because it won’t be as cheap as some of the bigger competitors. and will have nothing to really attract consumers.

Does anyone know when (or if) HMD will lose the right to use the Nokia brand on their phones? Because it can’t happen soon enough. And the second they lose the Nokia name, their case is over.

Huawei has enough trouble convincing its own users to upgrade, so much so that they automatically implement it without the user’s consent.

If the rumors about using Harmony OS are true, it could have a chance of making some decent sales, as it could be a solid selling point. Otherwise, he has little chance of success

A new flagship with a high-end SD 7xx chipset? I’m not quite sure about this move.

It’s HMD so no surprise if they claim the SD775 as their flagship SOC and the custom sensor ends with super “special”, macro or monochrome depth.

Only time can tell if they really have a flagship product coming up. They never released the 9 PV in our local market, I waited for Nokia flagships after their Microsoft fiasco. Year after year, it is disappointing to witness such a disappointment.

I saw something on the new flagship the other day. It sounded and looked like a beast, but unfortunately it had or will have super curved display sides. Out of business. Too bad about that. The apartment would be so much better.

A little too late. Nokia has focused on releasing cheap trash instead of listening to its fan base. We want a flagship now.

Nokia 8 came out before this guy came in and it was a solid flagship. He was using AOSP + Gapps, not Android One crap.

Every Nokia flagship under HMD was late, used an outdated chipset, was overpriced for what it was, and had disappointing software support. They could continue the tradition of the old Nokia and instead they just used the name and nothing else. It’s like they don’t understand that Nokia’s fame will dry up fast enough if they keep treating it like this and in the end no one will buy it even for the name.
