When you think of social media influencers, the Kardashians might come to mind. But a lot of ordinary people make extra money influencing us.

TikTok star Addison Rae topping the lists today as a gigantic social media influencer. She has 84 million followers who watch her do stupid things on camera. And that, my friends, is lucrative.

A young unemployed factory worker in Italy Khaby Lame has 1.7 billion likes, and he’s not even speaking on camera. He just laughs at the people who made things easy and unnecessarily difficult.

We spoke to Casey Adams, from the “Rise of the Young” podcast. In regards to What an influencer is and How? ‘Or’ What influencers make money.

“An influencer is someone who has a certain niche for something specific, and who delivers content consistently and builds an audience,” he told Fox 5 I-Team.

Casey Adams also directs MediaKits to help influencers and potential advertisers connect. This is how you make money – when an advertiser contacts you and wants to be associated with your brand. For example, let’s say you have a cooking show. A leading kitchenware brand might want to pay you for ads on your page or post.

But first, they’ll want to know your numbers. They will want to know more about you. Are you male or female? Explain your job. Detail the size and demographics of your audience. They want to know what kind of traffic you are getting and your interactions.

You can find this information on some social media sites. But you’ll have to get them in a format that advertisers want. MediaKits offers a model with real-time data. It’s free or there is a professional level to come. Other companies also offer this service.

But here is the key to success: Be authentic. Are you a good decorator? Well share it as “Well nested house” on Instagram. She is a wonderful local woman who is excellent at decorating. It has 64,000 subscribers.

Another lady from Atlanta is really into fitness. This is who she really is. Tinah Atlanta guides subscribers through its process. She is building her suite. And we got “Fairly frugal diva” on the show. She knows where to find deals.

Most people like to do this for a little extra cash, to get free products, or to make a dedicated living off of it. But be yourself, know your numbers.
