In the Ring video provided to CBS13, you can see a man linger and look into a woman’s home in Woodland. The woman did not want to be identified but said he had returned a second time. She said at one point that his hands were in his pants and that she was concerned for his safety. This happened on Clover Street on August 18th.

Police said they were also investigating a similar incident nearby that happened on August 15, where a man was seen staring out of an apartment window on West Court Street. Investigators say they don’t know if this is the same man or what exactly was going on in each incident.

Reports circulated on social media which shocked many residents of Woodland.

“I’m not alone and I’m glad I’m not alone, that’s what I think when I see that,” said Cindy Sidener. “I fear for my friends who live alone.”

Police said some members of the community were able to identify the man in the video and were following and harassing him. They said self-defense can hinder an investigation and it is a difficult case that takes time and persistence to get an arrest warrant.

In the meantime, it is a crime that many residents want to see quickly taken care of.

“I’m glad I have a big dog with a strong voice,” Sidener said. “The safest place you’re supposed to be is your home. “
