LAFAYETTE, LA. (KLFY) – A Lafayette native is the new owner of a River Ranch storefront that has been open for 2 decades.
“As someone who grew up in Lafayette, I remember the store. It has been around for 20 years. Every time I stumbled across my desk, I thought it had to continue. It’s too good, and it’s too beautiful a mission to take care of all the needs of women. From your first bra until later in life when you may have breast cancer. We provide services for everything else, ”says Meaghan Savoy, owner of La Femme Lingerie.
The size-inclusive store is located at 110 Rue Promenade Suite 101 in Lafayette. They offer sizes 30 to 44 AA to M and specialize in prosthetic and mastectomy bras.
“Locally there are other places where you can get mastectomy material, but we offer a private appointment, we work hand in hand with all the surgeons in town. We have a big bass from Lake Charles to Alexandria and Baton Rouge. People drive for the experience they have here. We have closed the store. Brittni gives them the royal treatment and we love working with our survivors ”,
Brittni Montgomery has worked in the store for four years and is a certified mastectomy installer.
“We intervene when survivors choose not to participate in the reconstruction. This is when we adapt them for the prosthesis. We also take most insurance. When I say most insurance, it’s Medicaid, Medicare, Aetna, CIGNA, Blue Cross, and the list goes on. We are networked with all these insurances. We also file complaints for the patient so they don’t have to worry about it. All they have to do is feel beautiful and it’s over. We make the experience as easy as possible, ”says Montgomery.
Montgomery tells women to bring their favorite shirt from before surgery, and when they get out they’ll look good again.
“Providing that experience where they can bring a friend, they can sit back and relax, because it’s awkward and it’s hard and it’s sad, so making her look beautiful and fun and feminine is probably the best part. of our week, ”says Savoy.
